N\u00e9 en 1969, il vit et travaille en Bretagne.<\/p>\n<p>Reynald Drouhin travaille \u00e0 partir de la culture num\u00e9rique (archives, donn\u00e9es, internet comme r\u00e9servoir de formes et de sens). Son approche est multim\u00e9dia : il passe par la photographie, la vid\u00e9o, la peinture et l&rsquo;IA selon les besoins du projet. Ses \u0153uvres r\u00e9sultent souvent d&rsquo;un protocole \u00e9tabli, parfois g\u00e9n\u00e9ratif, et r\u00e9v\u00e8lent une profusion de repr\u00e9sentations al\u00e9atoires et fragmentaires.<\/p>\n<p>La science-fiction traverse son travail comme cadre d&rsquo;anticipation : le rapport entre les intelligences artificielles et les fins du monde, l&rsquo;effondrement des syst\u00e8mes, ce que les images et les donn\u00e9es disent du temps qui vient. Il utilise aujourd&rsquo;hui l&rsquo;IA \u00e0 la fois comme outil de production et comme sujet d&rsquo;investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Esth\u00e9tiquement, il tend vers une certaine simplicit\u00e9 (le monolithe, le monochrome comme formes r\u00e9currentes) tout en faisant du bug, de l&rsquo;erreur et de l&rsquo;incident des \u00e9l\u00e9ments plastiques \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re. Born in 1969, he lives and works in Brittany.<\/p>\n<p>Reynald Drouhin works from digital culture (archives, data, the internet as a reservoir of forms and meaning). His approach is multimedia: he works through photography, video, painting and AI depending on the needs of the project. His works often result from an established protocol, sometimes generative, and reveal a profusion of random and fragmentary representations.<\/p>\n<p>Science fiction runs through his work as a framework for anticipation: the relationship between artificial intelligence and the end(s) of the world, the collapse of systems, what images and data tell us about the time to come. He now uses AI both as a production tool and as a subject of investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Aesthetically, he tends toward a certain simplicity (the monolith, the monochrome as recurring forms) while making the bug, the error and the incident essential plastic elements.
