\u00ab\u00a0 L\u2019Internet comme source de donn\u00e9es. Au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 2000, Reynald Drouhin pratique ce qu\u2019il nomme la \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9fragmentation de l\u2019Internet par l\u2019image\u00a0\u00bb. Consid\u00e9rant le r\u00e9seau mondial comme la plus importante des bases de donn\u00e9es participatives, il y puise des images de mani\u00e8re automatique selon leur nom d\u2019indexation, avant de les assembler. Car l\u2019application qu\u2019il a con\u00e7ue \u00e0 cet effet lui permet de les organiser automatiquement selon leur teinte, leur saturation et leur luminosit\u00e9 au sein d\u2019une matrice compos\u00e9e elle-m\u00eame d\u2019une image m\u00e8re en fond. Une fois rassembl\u00e9es, les images pr\u00e9alablement d\u00e9pos\u00e9es sur le web deviennent comme les membres d\u2019une m\u00eame famille d\u00e9couvrant les parents que r\u00e9v\u00e8le l\u2019extension de leur arbre g\u00e9n\u00e9alogique. \u201cAt the beginning of the 2000\u2019s, Reynald Drouhin began practicing what he calls the \u201cdefragmentation of the Internet by the image\u201d. Considering the world-wide-web to be the biggest participative database, he takes images from it automatically based on their indexing name before assembling them. The application that he has conceived to this end allows him to automatically organise them according to their tint, their saturation and their luminosity in a matrix composed itself of a master image in the background. Once assembled, the images previously loaded onto the web become members of the same family discovering they have parents that reveal the extent of their family tree. It is the word Butterfly that allows Reynald Drouhin to reinterpret The Origin of the World by Gustave Courbet at any given moment.
