{"id":749,"date":"2020-06-01T08:00:33","date_gmt":"2020-06-01T07:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.reynalddrouhin.net\/wrks\/?p=749"},"modified":"2024-07-25T09:03:07","modified_gmt":"2024-07-25T08:03:07","slug":"monoliths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.reynalddrouhin.net\/wrks\/monoliths\/","title":{"rendered":"Monoliths"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">2015-20, site internet, photographie (Projet mis en pause en avril 2022 &gt; archive : <a href=\"https:\/\/mnlths.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/mnlths.tumblr.com\/<\/a>))<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reynalddrouhin.net\/works\/monoliths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.reynalddrouhin.net\/works\/monoliths\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Conception et direction artistique : Reynald Drouhin<br \/>\nIng\u00e9nierie et d\u00e9veloppement : S\u00e9bastien Courvoisier<br \/>\nGraphisme : Sophie Blum<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">\u00ab Monoliths \u00bb de Reynald Drouhin est un projet de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d&rsquo;images sur Internet, de partage sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux et d&rsquo;archivage.<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">Il se traduit par une application en ligne utilisable par les internautes, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en collaboration avec le d\u00e9veloppeur S\u00e9bastien Courvoisier et la graphiste Sophie Blum.<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">Un monolithe (du grec monos, \u00ab un seul \u00bb et lithos, \u00ab pierre \u00bb) est \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine un bloc de pierre de grande dimension, constitu\u00e9 d&rsquo;un seul \u00e9l\u00e9ment, naturel ou taill\u00e9 voire d\u00e9plac\u00e9 par l&rsquo;Homme.<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">\u00ab Monoliths \u00bb est un projet\/outil permettant de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des images de paysages \u00ab augment\u00e9s \u00bb\u00a0: un paysage sur lequel se dessine une forme g\u00e9om\u00e9trique renvers\u00e9e, parfois \u00e0 la limite du visible. Cette permutation vient troubler la lecture frontale de l&rsquo;image et en donner une perspective \u00e9trange.<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">Il n&rsquo;est pas question ici du monolithe comme on l&rsquo;entend g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement (bloc de pierre) mais d&rsquo;un monolithe d\u00e9mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9 ou plut\u00f4t immat\u00e9riel\u00a0: il n&rsquo;est presque pas visible. Il apparait par le contour form\u00e9 entre deux plans du paysage devenant le premier plan de l&rsquo;image\u00a0; il existe par apparition.<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">Le principe est de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer un \u00ab\u00a0monolithe\u00a0\u00bb (en utilisant le graphisme du cercle, carr\u00e9, triangle et parfois du monolithe isom\u00e9trique) dans le paysage photographi\u00e9 par la permutation infographique d&rsquo;une partie l&rsquo;image.<\/p>\n<p data-v-280ea01c=\"\">L&rsquo;\u0153uvre \u00ab Monoliths \u00bb est en d\u00e9finitive un syst\u00e8me permettant \u00e0 chacun de passer par le proc\u00e9d\u00e9-processus de cr\u00e9ation de l&rsquo;artiste et de participer \u00e0 une indexation en ligne (#MonolithsReynaldDrouhin). This permutation disturbs the frontal reading of the image and gives it a strange perspective.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\">This project is not about the monolith as one generally understands it (a block of stone) but about a dematerialized or rather immaterial monolith: it is almost not visible. It appears through the contour formed between two planes of the landscape that becomes the foreground of the image. It exists by appearance.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\">The principle is to generate a \u00ab\u00a0monolith\u00a0\u00bb (using the graphics of the circle, square, triangle and sometimes the isometric monolith) in the photographed landscape using the infographic permutation of a part of the image.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\">The work \u00ab\u00a0Monoliths\u00a0\u00bb is ultimately a system allowing everyone to go through the artist&rsquo;s creative process and participate in an online indexing (<em data-v-3917a49c=\"\">#MonolithsReynaldDrouhin<\/em>). It proposes a form of image hacking both through its free and open aspect (implicit transfer of copyright for the visuals sent and generated, misappropriation of visuals and appropriation of the artistic concept process, misappropriation of the primary function of social network applications) but also in the literal sense of the English word\u00a0<em data-v-3917a49c=\"\">to hack<\/em>, meaning \u00ab\u00a0to cut something with the help of a tool\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reynalddrouhin.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reynald Drouhin<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\">Contemporary French artist, lives and works in Paris and teaches multimedia and digital practices at EESAB &#8211; Rennes.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/io-io-io.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">S\u00e9bastien Courvoisier<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\">As a freelance Web engineer, he collaborates with artists who want to exploit digital technologies and divert their uses.<\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sophieblum.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sophie Blum<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-v-3917a49c=\"\">Freelance graphic designer since 2005, she works mainly in the cultural sector for associations and institutions.<\/p>\n<p
